After completing my Life Coaching Certification with Jay Shetty, I discovered my desire to collaborate with ambitious individuals who constantly strive to elevate themselves professionally. As a result, I decided to explore the field further by working with a proficient Business Coach.
During our initial conversation, my coach inquired about my managerial approach. I felt a surge of confidence as I described myself as an exceptional and skilled individual. I confidently affirmed that I consistently meet deadlines, adhere to budget constraints, surpass expectations, achieve key performance indicators (KPIs), optimize processes, and foster team development. I conveyed an image of a superstar and eagerly anticipated the next question.
"Are you the type of person who takes the lead, figures out everything, and then explains it to others?" - I replied affirmatively.
"Do you possess great knowledge and respond promptly to others?" - Once again, I answered in the affirmative.
I was feeling extremely positive about the session until my coach proposed a scenario. He likened me to a fish in a pond, alongside other fishes. He cast a line with bait into the water and asked if, based on what I had described, I would be the one to swiftly understand the situation, seize the opportunity (food), and then explain it to the rest of the fish?
In that moment, I realized the potential repercussions of employing my traits inappropriately. This realization marked the beginning of my transformative journey with my coach. Together, we focused on integrating my life coaching expertise into my leadership style, allowing me to grow both professionally and personally.
With this newfound clarity, I have solidified my purpose as a business coach catering to skilled professionals who share similar goals. This is the business model I am dedicated to constructing and passionate about.
